ALRC Guidelines
The Architecture & Landscape Review Committees (ALRC) for North & South neighborhoods review and approve all submissions for external changes to existing properties, including major landscaping projects and new construction.
A key component of the Committees' role is to maintain a harmonious community appearance of individual homes and lots. In addition, the Committees ensure all properties are in compliance with the CC&Rs, Design/Build Guidelines and other HOA controlling documents.
Prior to any changes, alterations or modifications to the exterior of your home or landscape, an architectural submittal form must be filled out and sent to Associa Arizona, our management company.
The ALRC will need to review and approve the plans prior to any work beginning. Here is a SUMMARY of those items requiring approval. Please refer to the full Design Guidelines for a comprehensive list:
New or custom homes
Structure additions (i.e. casita or guest house
Pools, spas & hot tubs
Lights, windows, doors, walls, fences, garage doors
Exterior painting (even if repainting the same color)
Solar panels & devices
Flag poles
Ramadas, gazebos, pergolas, patio enclosures, raised platforms
Yard sheds or other storage structures
Recreation equipment, playhouses, swing sets, basketball backboards/poles (only permitted in enclosed backyards not abutting the golf course)
Fountains/statues
Lighting - must be dark sky compliant
Substantial redo (over 50%) of front and/or backyard landscaping
Changes to drainage
